Welcome to My New Brewing Website
Dave May 23rd, 2007
So I’ve had a website for a while now but I haven’t given it much attention. Most of the problem was the hassle of posting and maintaining the pages. I decided to dive into WordPress, which should make all of this much, much easier.
First a little bit about my brewing history. I homebrewed a batch in college and then didn’t do anything with the hobby for several years. At the end of 2005 I moved back down to San Luis Obispo, CA and due to my limited workspace had to put my primary hobby at the time (woodworking) on hold. Something I knew I could do with very little space was homebrew. With the help of George down at Doc’s Cellar I got back into the hobby in full force.
Since then I’ve been steadily progressing and upgrading from extract brewing and bottling to all grain brewing and kegging. At the close of the first year back in brewing I’d made about 25 batches. I brew about 3 batches a month currently.
My favorite parts of the hobby is experimentation and building gadgets. This page will help share my experiment results and plans for building some of the things I’ve made. It’ll also include details about beer appreciation on the central California Coast.
Slainte,
Dave.
